It works on your Mac and your iOS device. The countdown is easy to see, and the alarm works, even in the background.

I’d test it a bit before you depend on it for anything important but, so far, it’s worked perfectly for me. I do recognize that there are plenty of ways to skin this particular cat (the built-in Clock app, Siri, any number of 3rd party apps), but I really like the simplicity and universality of this approach.
